One Surah at a time
Start understanding the Quran.
You don't have to understand everything today. Start with one Surah.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
“In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.”
Every Surah except one (At-Tawbah) opens with these words. Before anything else, you are reminded who you are speaking to, and that His mercy comes first.
Begin with your life
What are you dealing with?
Choose what is on your mind. We'll show you where the Quran speaks to it, and where to read next.
Not sure where to begin?
Start with one Surah.
Each of these can be understood in a single sitting, and each one opens a door to the rest.
Short reads
For the things we don't talk about enough.
Short, honest pieces on the pressures of modern life. Each one leads back to the Quran.
How it works
A path, not a database.
Every Surah page follows the same calm rhythm, so you always know where you are and what comes next.
Understand
Short, clear sections: the background, the story, the main themes. No walls of text.
Reflect
Questions that connect what you read to your own week, not someone else's.
Act
One or two practical things to carry with you. Small and doable.
Return to the Quran
Every page points you back to the verses themselves. That is the whole point.
Know what you're reading
The Quran, a Hadith, and an explanation are not the same thing.
Every claim on this site is labelled by where it comes from. If something is commonly repeated but can't be reliably established, we say so plainly.
- Quran
- What the Quran explicitly states, with the verse reference.
- Hadith
- Narrations of the Prophet ﷺ, with collection, number and authenticity grading. Disputed gradings are shown as disputed.
- Scholarly interpretation
- What scholars have explained, including where they differ, and who said it.
- Not established
- Details that are often repeated but cannot be traced to a reliable source.
اقْرَأْ
The goal is the Quran itself.
We'll help you take the first step. After that, open the Quran and keep going. Even a few verses a day is a beginning.
