Your reading progress, bookmarks, recently viewed pages, preferences and theme are stored only in this browser's local storage. They are never sent to us. You can export or delete them from My Library.

To learn which pages help people and where they get stuck, we count how the site is used, through PostHog and Vercel Web Analytics. It is set up to collect as little as possible:

• A random anonymous ID stored in your browser. It is not linked to your name, email or any account.
• Events such as a page being viewed, a Surah or article being opened or finished, a section viewed, a bookmark added, or a search made.
• Device type, browser, screen size and page-speed measurements.

We deliberately do not collect:

• What you type into search. Only its length and which page it matched are recorded, so no search history exists.
• Your IP address, cookies, session recordings, or anything you write.
• Query strings in page addresses, which are removed before anything is sent.

If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, analytics never starts. You can also turn it off here at any time:

Turning analytics off takes effect immediately and clears the anonymous ID. Turning it back on applies from your next page load.
