What the Quran says
Meanings are our own plain-language paraphrases. Tap a reference to read the verse in full on Quran.com.
Said to Musa and Harun as they were about to face Pharaoh.

The words of 3:173 were said by two prophets at their most frightening moments.
“Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs” was said by Ibrahim when he was thrown into the fire, and by Muhammad peace be upon him when he was told that people had gathered against him (3:173).
